Witch Queen of the Crossroads, bearing the keys to the Mysteries, Hekate is a liminal goddess who stands at the boundaries and in transitional moments of life. Associated with root, herbal and poison magic, Hekate carries the torch of the Old Ways.

This incredible HEKATE Liminal Rites Dark Goddess Queen of the Crossorads talisman pendant contains genuine Wolfsbane (Aconitum napellus), Black Nightshade (Solanum nigrum), 3 whole Saffron stamens, Blackthorn bark, Garlic, Oak bark, black Onyx gemstone chips, a sterling silver Key charm, a Bronze bead and a black faceted drop bead - all elements sacred to Hekate.

The pendant tube measures approximately 35cm x 8cm (1.5" x 5/16") including the antiqued Ox silver toned end caps. The pendant is hung on a 45" black chain with a black lobster claw clasp. (Coming soon additionally with a gothic black bail.)

Wolfsbane is a powerful root used for protection and invisibility. Also used for visionary work, uncrossing and crossing magic, underworld journeying, shamanic self initiation, and as a altar guardian.

When acquiring Wolfsbane (Aconite), ALWAYS know the species you are getting so that you can have some idea of how toxic the one you are getting is. Some species are less toxic than others (for example, those used in flying ointments and anointing oils should only be of a non-toxic variety).

Black Nightshade (a less toxic Nightshade than Belladonna or Deadly Nightshade but still poisonous) mediates prophecy and divination conjured through the power of Hekate (who is also known by Chaldean Oracles as the Cosmic Soul). A classic Samhain plant, Black Nightshade relates to the mysteries of the Otherworld. Used in liminal rites and lunar magic.

In the Orphic Hymn to Hekate, Hekate is described as "the Saffron-cloaked Goddess of the Heavens." A herb in Hekate's own garden, Saffron powerfully raises the wind and strengthens psychic power with the force of the triple Goddess who stands at the Crossroads between life, death and rebirth.

Blackthorn connects to the Crone and Dark Power of Hekate as Witch of the Dark Moon and Queen of the Night.

Garlic is one of the offerings to Hekate at the Deipnon (Hekate Supper) held at the end of the lunar month during the dark phase of the moon (and before the sliver of the New Moon has been sighted).

An Oak tree stands in the center of Hekate's garden in Orphic Argonautica. Hekate is she who is crowned with oak-leaves.

Black Onyx is a projective protective stone of the Dark Goddess able quell psychic instability in the spellcaster and deflect psychic attack. Hekate is often found in ancient texts and on ancient amulets linked with Solomon and Hebrew Divine Names (particularly אדני Adonai and צבאות Tzevahot).

Sacred bronze is associated with Hekate's power in the Underworld. A bronze triple Hekate amulet, with King Solomon found on the obverse side performing hygromanteia (demon summoning) found in Italy at Ostia, links Hekate to Jewish magic. Hekate titles are also often found linked with the names of Hebrew angels.

Significant to Hekate's role as gatekeeper and key-bearing Queen of the entire Cosmos, her key to the door of Sacred Knowledge in this talisman is sterling silver.

As a genuine container of magic, should a time come when the talisman is no longer needed, please bury it where it will never be found or consign it to a fire. Never open it. Never indiscriminately discard it.

*****WARNING!!! - Some contents of this talisman are EXTREMELY POISONOUS and MAY BE LETHAL if ingested. DO NOT EAT, BURN or DIRECTLY HANDLE the contents of this talisman.*****

This incredibly powerful HEKATE talisman reminds us to always be mindful of the power we possess.

With power comes responsibility - The variety of Wolfsbane in this talisman is **EXTREMELY POISONOUS**. The glass vial is thoroughly sealed with black wax. If the glass breaks or the vial comes apart, **do not handle the contents with your bare hands** - USE GLOVES to return pieces of the botanical to the vial, to clean up the pieces and/or to dispose of them. Do not leave the talisman where children or unsuspecting adults may tamper with it. Use caution when handling, storing or disposing of vial contents. If you would like me to seal it with professional strength wine bottle sealing wax, write a note to me with purchase and I will happily add the heavy duty sealing wax to the seal at no extra charge. I used regular sealing wax only to make it easier to open the vial without breaking it should you want to use the contents for spellwork.

Comes beautifully packaged in a black jewelry bag.
