BOADICEA Celtic Warrior Queen Soy Pillar Candle

כ״ה בתשרי תשע"ב
Blodlessing 27

BOADICEA, known in Welsh as "Buddug" (d. AD 60 or 61), was queen of the British Iceni tribe who led an uprising against the occupying forces of the Roman Empire. Courageous, fiercely determined, ethnically proud, BOADICEA's legend and spirit live on in the Celtic people.

Tacitus and Dio agree that BOADICEA was of royal descent. Dio says that she was "possessed of greater intelligence than often belongs to women", that she was tall, had hair described as reddish-brown or tawny hanging below her waist, a harsh voice and a piercing glare, and habitually wore a large golden necklace (perhaps a torc), a many-coloured tunic, and a thick cloak fastened by a brooch.

Celebrate with pride your ethnic ancestry and keep alive your Celtic heritage with this exquisite BOADICEA pillar candle handcrafted with premium certified kosher soy wax, pure cotton wick, the national colors of Wales and thirteen traditional Celtic ethnobotanicals including Woad, European Vervain (Verbana Officinalis), Elfin Thyme, Hawthorn, Elder Flowers, Ground Ivy, Guelder Rose, Meadowsweet, Mistletoe, Nettle, Rhodiola Root, Dandelion and Silver Birch. Each lovely white and green pillar is adorned with a silver pewter Welsh Dragon charm hung on red/gold Hannah silk ribbon. Generously scented with Daffodil, fragrance of the Welsh national flower.

If you would prefer to purchase this candle with a sterling silver Welsh Dragon charm (see second photo), please convo me for custom listing.
