Ogam [pronounced "AHG-m" or "OH-ehm"] is the ancient Celtic sacred script consisting of 20 letter symbols (called Feadha) arranged in four groups (called Aicmí or Tribes) of five. A fifth Aicme was later added to the alphabet for use in manuscripts. The word Ogam is thought by scholars to mean the "skilled use of words." Oidhean, the Scot's Gaelic word for Ogam, means hint or idea. Used by the Druids for cryptic sacred communication, Ogam inscriptions are found exclusively in Wales, Ireland and Scotland. When inscribed on stones, Ogam letters are carved vertically on a line stem (called a druim, which means ridge or spine) and read from bottom to top.
BENDITHION is the Welsh word for blessing. Handcrafted with premium certified kosher soy wax and pure cotton wick, this magical BENDITHION Ogam Stone ritual spell candle is hand inscribed and painted with natural henna and generously scented with Hawthorne Oil (a high favorite of the Fae). BENDITHION is adorned with a cryptic Celtic knot, inscribed freehand and painted over with all natural black henna (contains no added chemicals or PPD), giving it an ancient touch.
Crafted freehand, each BENDITHION candle design is unique and one of a kind.
Use BENDITHION for blessing, Druid rites, Celtic mysticism or pathworking and Faery magic.

This is a lovely candle but I am curious as to why you choose to use 'black henna'? The only way to make henna black is to add chemicals, the most popular of which is para-phenylenediamine. This is a common ingredient in hairdyes and you may be surprised to find out how many people have allergic reactions to it. I can't imagine burning it would be healthy to inhale, even indirectly. It just seems at odds with how the rest of the candle has been created.
The all natural black henna I use to craft the design on this candle contains no added chemicals and no PPD (para-phenylenediamine).
