Gilded ANDRASTE Celtic British Warrior Goddess of Victory Soy Candle w/ White Diamond Dust and Bronze Hare on Golden Forest Hanah Silk

Associated with the Moon, ANDRASTE, also known as Andrasta or Andred, according to the Roman historian Dio Cassius, was an Icenic war goddess invoked by Boudica in her fight against the Roman occupation of Britain in AD 61. She may be the same as Andate, described by the same Roman source as "their name for Victory". The hare is sacred to Andraste. The hare's release is a technique of divination, with an augury drawn from the direction in which it runs. This is similar to Roman methods of divination which ascribe meaning to the directions in which birds fly, with the left side being auspicious and the right side inauspicious.

Handpainted Gilded Dark Ivory ANDRASTE is handcrafted with premium certified kosher soy wax and pure cotton wick. Magically charged with a Moonstone gemstone nugget and six Grael herbs of spellcraft including Lotus Plumules, Dulse, Passion Flower, White Sandalwood, Chickweed and Jasmine flowers, White Diamond dusted ANDRASTE is generously scented with deeply intoxicating Sandalwood. An adorning antiqued bronze Hare charm hangs on hand dyed Golden Forest Hanah Silk ribbon.

Measures 2 x 3 inches.

Comes beautifully packaged.
