Y Ddraig Goch Ddyry Cychwyn, The Red Dragon Leads the Way.
Created within sacred space under the waxing crescent Moon, this RED DRAGON witch's altar ladder is handbraided and handcrafted with hand dyed Salmon Silk Sari ribbon made from cut strips of silk fabric, multicolored Fiesta yarn, red ribbon, a copper key, a copper Welsh dragon, a copper Celtic witch's knot charm, (in the tradition of Celtic witchcraft) nine deep garnet red Czech glass beads and (in the tradition of Jewish letter-kabbalah) twenty-three knots.
Associated with the Underworld and the Dark Divine Feminine, the word garnet comes from Phoenician term for pomegranate: punica geranatum, from which derived the Latin term "granatus," which translates as "seed." Garnets manifest in their natural matrix like pomegranate seeds. Deep love, radical change, safe passage, and mystical initiation are the gifts of garnet.
Associated with sacred leadership and royalty, Salmon (eog in Cymric, eó in Old Irish) is a wise magical creature of great knowledge in Celtic lore. As old as time itself, Salmon helps us to connect to Ancestral Knowledge and to put it to practical use.
The mystery to the ley of the land (how magic and cosmic forces flow through and affect the area and how the area reciprocally affects the flow of cosmic and magical forces) is opened with the Key; the winding path to our innermost Joy is mapped through a Celtic knot.
The presence of Celtic Dragon impacts the ley of land, creating sites of sanctity and heightened power. Stonehenge is thought to be such a place.
Dragon also embodies primordial power, balanced strength and hidden mystery. A guardian and guide, Dragon awakens us to our inner Divinity and reveals to us mystical wonder.
Jewish kabbalah teaches that in copper is the secret shining brilliance hidden in the heart of every curse, transforming curses into blessings, and healing the heart.
Nine is the number of the witch's circle.
Twenty-three is the number of all the letters of the magical Hebrew alphabet, including the hidden 4-shin.
Measuring 57 inches, nourishment and higher purpose permeate the essence of this mystical ladder. The magical letters of the Hebrew word for altar (mizbach, מזבח) have a gematria (numerology) of 57. Upon the altar, we merge into our own Spark of Divinity. The etymological root of mizbach means nourishment and to act for a higher purpose.
Comes beautifully packaged with a small surprise gift included.
